Ski schools and surf camps get dozens of applications for every role, often in the busy weeks before the season. The ones that get a reply are short, specific and easy to say yes to.
Lead with what they asked for
Read the job post twice. If it asks for a Level 2 qualification, French and availability from mid-December, your first two lines should confirm exactly that.
Level 2 BASI instructor, fluent French and English, free from 10 December to 20 April.
Show the right experience
Pick two or three things that match the job rather than listing every season. Teaching children? Mention the kids' club you ran. Off-piste groups? Name the terrain and the group sizes.
Be clear about dates
Availability is often the deciding factor. Give exact dates, and say if they are flexible. Mark the weeks on your BeOutthere calendar so companies can see them at a glance.
Let your personality show, briefly
Employers are hiring someone guests will spend their holiday with. One friendly sentence about why you love the job, or what you are like with a group, goes a long way.
